 Kerin & Canty, PC is a firm of attorneys with two offices in Southwestern CT, one on the green in downtown Milford, at 120 Broad Street and the other in Norwalk.at 193 East Avenue. Attorneys Brendan Canty, Michael Kerin, and Robert Sciglimpaglia are certified as Workers’ Compensation Specialists in the State of Connecticut. The certification process, administered by the Connecticut Bar Association, is the first area of specialty law recognized in the State of Connecticut. The certification process consists of the applicants having satisfied the following requirements: completion of the requisite number of continuing legal education hours in the area of workers’ compensation, devotion of a substantial portion of the firm’s practice to the field of workers’ compensation, experience in trial and appellate work, the passing of the certification examination, and a determination of an exemplary reputation among other attorneys. To date, there are only 49 lawyers in the State of Connecticut who enjoy this distinction. The law firm of Kerin & Canty, P.C. has represented employees and employers in workers’ compensation cases in each of the eight compensation district offices throughout the State of Connecticut. The firm has successfully represented clients at the trial level and all the way through the appellate process, including the Connecticut Supreme Court.
